How does IDT Translation charge for its services?
We charge a rate per source word-count. This rate varies according to the degree of difficulty of a given language and subject, and the time-frame. There are minimum fees per language so that when possible it is best to group translations. At the start of the project, we will provide you a quote with the cost and scope of the project. Please note that most languages expand during translation hence the price per source word-count is equivalent to approximately 70% of the equivalent target price.top How do I know how many words my document has?
At IDT Translation, our translation team can provide you a word-count for all types of documents. Word documents can be counted using the word count function. Please remember to include footnotes and endnotes which also need to be translated. top How long does a translation take?
All our translations are sent to a translator and proofreader hence the minimum turn-around is (three) 3 days. It can be done quicker but a rush fee will apply. A translator can translate an average of 2000 words per business day and a proofreader can proofread an average of 8,000 words a day. A page is 250-300 words. In cases of large projects with tight turnaround times, we can have multiple translators translate the material and one proofreader proofread the material to ensure the consistency of the complete document.top Who will performs the translation?
At IDT Translation, professional translators around the globe who are experienced individuals. In addition to translation credentials, our translators have education and/or practical experience in a specific field or fields. Our team matches the translator to a given project, based both on the language pair involved and on the subject matter.top How do you ensure an accurate translation?
IDT Translation Services are proud of its quality control and quality assurance procedures. Every translation undergoes a multi-stage process which includes the initial translation of the document by a member of our professional staff; a review by a proofreader and in-house linguistic quality assurance.top Can IDT Translation Services certify and notarize translations?
Yes, we IDT Translation certify any translation we provide. We can also notarize translations, provided we've been presented with an original document.top By what methods can IDT Translation receive and deliver documents?
The best way to deliver documents is by e-mail or ftp but it can also be sent by fax, mail, courier, or overnight service. Although we prefer PC-compatible files and disks, if you are not able to provide your materials that way we will accept Mac-formatted disks in most cases.At IDT Translation, we can deliver translations by any of these same methods.
